Ever since the XFL was bankrupted and then bought by Dany Garcia, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and RedBird Capital, there have been jokes about how many sales the league has made on their online store. Today it seems that the jokes are over.
Shortly after the XFL announced its first round of executive hires, it also made some adjustments to its website. One of these changes was the removal of the XFL Shop. If you visit the page now, you are greeted with a message stating “New XFL Shop coming in 2022”.
After purchasing the XFL, we saw a series of sales on the XFL Online Store, prompting criticism and jokes from fans on social media. With the shutdown and new hires, it looks like the XFL is finally heading towards something.
The post doesn’t give a specific timeline on when we’ll see the store reopen, just in 2022. We’re hoping that will be as soon as possible. And more importantly, we hope they have fully customizable jerseys in stock when they do.
