The best online stores 2023 have been selected based on an extensive research effort that began with an extensive selection process. Newsweek conducted detailed testing of each online store and conducted a nationwide survey of approximately 6,000 US online shoppers. Sun & Ski Sports placed 8th in the outdoor category with a composite score of 7.88. They compiled scores based on factors such as structure and usability, trust and security, service and communication, payment, purchase and delivery, technical performance and likelihood of purchase. Of the thousands of online retailers rated by Newsweek and Statista, only 1,000 were awarded in 39 categories.
