QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya – A 28-year-old delivery man from a popular online store has been arrested for his involvement in a crime of theft.
Police said Orlando Lorenzo Apelado Jr, a resident of Sitio Casitrusan, Brgy. Buliwao, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya was arrested on Monday, June 27.
Quezon police had been monitoring the suspect’s movements until they gathered enough information about his whereabouts.
Major Anthony C. Ayungo, Chief of Police, led his staff to arrest the suspect on a felony theft warrant issued by the Hon. Francisco O. Pilpil, President of the Municipal Court of First Instance of Solano and dated June 17, 2022.
The recommended bail for his temporary release was 6,000.
The suspect is now in the custody of Quezon Police for the booking process, before being handed over to the originating court.
Meanwhile, a merchandiser was handed over to Tuguegarao City Police for alleged robbery inside SM Savemore Market at Valley Mall, Gomez Street and Gonzaga Street at the corner of Del Rosario Street, Brgy . Centro 7, Tuguegarao Town, Cagayan.
The suspect has been identified as Elfren Jay Alipio, 24, resident of 117 Langcay Street, Brgy. East Linao, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The alleged theft incident occurred around 10.50am on June 26, 2022 inside the SM Savemore Market of Mall.
A security officer saw the suspect attempt to steal a Db Audio Astron-70w unit for the amount of P5399.
The suspect was later handed over to Tuguegarao City Police.
