Birds Bakery, based in Derby, has expanded its delivery network across the UK with the launch of a new online store.

The nationwide mailing offering complements the chain’s online home delivery operation, which operates within a 15 mile radius of its Derby bakery, and extends the company’s previous regional mail delivery services. .

“Following the success of our home and postal delivery services, we wanted to launch a new hub where our existing and new customers could purchase all of their favorite products,” he added.

The new online store and UK-wide delivery have been launched to coincide with the rollout of the bakery’s festive range, including items such as pork pies, tarts, chocolate treats and gift boxes gifts. Birds Bakery expects to sell at least 375,000 patties by Christmas in its stores and online, a 20% increase from last year.

Birds Bakery, which was founded in 1919, operates 62 stores in the East Midlands. Last month, the company triumphed at the 2021 Baking Industry Awards taking home the Bakery Retailer of the Year trophy.
