GFSI conference will focus on ‘impact’ for safe and sustainable food

The annual conference of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) will be held in Barcelona from March 29-31, with more than 900 experts and business leaders gathered to discuss common food safety challenges and ways to have a impact.

Organized by the Consumer Goods Forum, this year’s event will be the first in-person hosting of the GFSI conference since 2020, and will include presentations from CEOs and business leaders from Nestlé, HelloFresh, OMS, Mondelēz, Danone, Starbucks and the Institute of Food & Science Technology, among others.

The three-day event will focus on promoting best practices in food safety, encouraging industry-wide partnerships, building trust and transparency with consumers, and showcasing cutting-edge innovations and technologies to shape the future of food safety.

After last year’s virtual conference, which focused on goal-setting and planning for sustainability ahead of the COP26 climate talks, and as the deadline for the goals approaches 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the theme of this year’s event is “Making an impact for safe and sustainable food”. ‘.
