This news is surprising because the official Apple Store System Status Update has told the public that the website services should be working fine.

The Apple Store site is down Friday, September 9 for maintenance ahead of the iPhone 14 series pre-order rollout. is currently finalizing the release of the aforementioned newly unveiled devices. Apple is expected to launch several products this week, including the upcoming iPhone 14 variants.

MacRumors informs us that Apple has been doing 5:00 a.m. preorders for several years instead of the 12:01 a.m. PT preorders we had before.

According 9to5macthe iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max will all be available to order starting at 5 a.m. PT, along with the AirPods Pro 2. In the meantime, Apple Store is down as the store anticipates. a rush in iPhone 14 sales.
The iPhone 14 and its Pro edition will be available for pre-order on the Apple site, the Apple Store, and through Apple Channel Partners worldwide starting today. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro costs $999. Pre-orders will begin on September 9 and sales will begin on September 16.
